Garlic Herb Butter Blend (Printer-Friendly)

Butter infused with fresh garlic and herbs for a versatile, savory addition to meals.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Compound Butter

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, very soft (not melted)
02 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
03 - 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely sliced
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
06 - 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

# Steps to Make This:

01 - Place the softened unsalted butter, parsley, thyme, chives, minced garlic, kosher salt, and cracked black pepper into a medium-sized bowl.
02 - Stir all ingredients together until fully incorporated, ensuring an even distribution of herbs and seasoning.
03 - Lay a large piece of plastic wrap flat and spoon the butter mixture into the center in a log shape.
04 - Roll the plastic wrap over the butter, pressing into a tight log. Twist and tuck the ends underneath, then refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight until firm.
05 - Slice the chilled butter log into rounds and serve as desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For substitutions, replace fresh herbs with dried using a 3:1 ratio (1 teaspoon dried for every 1 tablespoon fresh). Salted butter can be used by omitting the added salt. Store refrigerated up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 6 months, wrapped properly.
