Bisquick Chicken Sausage Balls (Printer-Friendly)

Light chicken sausage balls with Bisquick and cheddar, ideal for snacks or quick bites.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Protein and Seasonings

01 - 1 lb lean ground chicken or ground turkey (92-93% lean)
02 - 1 tablespoon paprika
03 - 1 teaspoon salt
04 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds

→ Dry Mix

08 - 2 1/2 cups Bisquick Heart Smart Baking Mix (or original Bisquick)
09 - 1 tablespoon dried parsley

→ Dairy

10 - 3/8 cup skim milk (1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon)
11 - 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese (2% milk)

# Steps to Make This:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, mix ground chicken with paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and fennel seeds using a fork or clean hands until evenly blended.
03 - Add Bisquick mix, skim milk, dried parsley, and shredded cheddar cheese to the meat mixture and stir with a spoon or mixer until fully combined.
04 - Divide the mixture into 32 equal portions, approximately two tablespoons each, and roll each into a ball. Lightly spray palms with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
05 - Place balls spaced apart on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 to 24 minutes until firm and cooked through.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Using ground poultry with a slightly higher fat content (92-93%) ensures moist and flavorful sausage balls. Cooking spray on hands helps with rolling sticky mixture.
02 - Sausage balls can be frozen before or after baking; reheat in an air fryer at 325°F for 5–6 minutes.
