In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, minced garlic, and smoked paprika until smooth.

Arrange beef evenly in the slow cooker. Pour sauce mixture over, covering meat completely. Add optional vegetables around beef if desired.
