Honey Lime Chicken Skewers (Printer-Friendly)

Skewered chicken marinated in honey, lime, and spices, grilled quickly for a flavorful, juicy meal.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced

→ Marinade

02 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons honey
04 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
05 - Juice of 1 lime (approx. 1 tablespoon)
06 - 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (optional)
07 - 1 clove garlic, minced
08 - 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

→ Tools

09 - 8 metal or soaked wooden skewers

# Steps to Make This:

01 - In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, lime juice, Sriracha, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro.
02 - Add diced chicken to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 1 to 3 hours.
03 - Thread 8 to 9 pieces of marinated chicken onto each skewer. If using wooden skewers, ensure they have been soaked in water for at least 15 minutes prior to use to prevent burning.
04 - Preheat grill to medium heat.
05 - Grill skewers over medium heat, cooking 7 to 8 minutes per side until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is cooked through.
06 - Remove from grill and serve immediately with fresh lime wedges for squeezing over the top.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning during grilling.
02 - Sriracha can be omitted for a milder flavor.
03 - This marinade pairs well with chicken thighs and can be served with cilantro lime rice or Asian slaw.
