01 -
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 7x9-inch glass or ceramic baking dish.
02 -
Separate each biscuit in half. Arrange bottom halves evenly in the baking dish and bake for 5 minutes to prevent sogginess.
03 -
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes.
04 -
Add ground beef to the onion. Break up with a spoon and cook until no longer pink with some browned spots. Drain excess grease.
05 -
Stir in seasoning blend. Adjust with salt or additional spice as desired.
06 -
Remove biscuit bottoms from oven. Spread the beef mixture evenly over them. Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top. Cover with reserved biscuit halves, pressing gently.
07 -
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Check at 20 minutes to avoid overbaking.
08 -
Let cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with condiments like ketchup, pickles, or burger sauce as desired.
