Chocolate Cookie Dough Balls (Printer-Friendly)

Buttery chocolate dough balls with a crisp edge, soft center, and chocolatey bites. Quick and easy for all occasions.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
02 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
05 - 1 1/4 cups chocolate chunks
06 - 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

# Steps to Make This:

01 - In a large bowl, combine the softened butter with granulated sugar and beat with a hand mixer or wooden spoon until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
02 - Add the egg to the creamed mixture and mix thoroughly until fully blended.
03 - Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined and a soft dough forms.
04 - Gently fold in the chocolate chunks and, if using, the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
05 - Roll portions of dough into walnut-sized balls by hand. Arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball for expansion during baking.
06 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake the dough balls for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the exterior turns golden brown.
07 - Allow the cookie dough balls to cool briefly on a wire rack before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For even baking, ensure all dough balls are similar in size. Add your favorite mix-ins like dried fruit or alternative types of chocolate for flavor variety.
