Chili Lime Chicken Bites (Printer-Friendly)

Delicious chicken bites with a spicy chili and fresh lime zest seasoning that cook quickly and pair well.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Spice Blend

01 - 2 teaspoons chili powder
02 - ½ teaspoon salt
03 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
05 - ½ teaspoon ground cumin
06 - ¼ teaspoon sugar
07 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
08 - Zest of one lime (approximately 2 to 2½ teaspoons)

→ Main

09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 1 pound raw boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

# Steps to Make This:

01 - In a small bowl, combine chili powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, sugar, and cayenne pepper. Stir in lime zest until uniformly mixed.
02 - Place chicken pieces in a large resealable plastic bag or mixing bowl. Add spice blend and seal or cover, then shake or stir thoroughly to evenly coat each piece.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add chicken pieces in a single layer without overcrowding, cooking in batches if necessary. Sauté for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring every few minutes to allow browning on each side until chicken is cooked through and golden.
04 - Remove from heat and serve immediately, optionally with rice, tortillas, or vegetables as desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For enhanced fresh lime flavor, serve chicken bites with lime wedges for squeezing.
02 - Avoid frequent stirring during cooking to allow proper browning.
