Cheesy Shrimp Crab Bake (Printer-Friendly)

Tender shrimp and crab meld with creamy cheese for a warm, golden baked indulgence topped with fresh chives.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
02 - 1 cup lump crab meat, well drained

→ Dairy

03 - 225 grams (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
04 - 120 grams (1/2 cup) sour cream
05 - 115 grams (1 cup) shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
06 - 60 grams (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese

→ Seasonings

07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
10 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
11 - 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

→ Garnish

12 - 2 tablespoons green onions or chives, chopped

→ To Serve

13 - Sliced toasted baguette, crackers, or tortilla chips

# Steps to Make This:

01 - In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce if using. Whip with a spatula or hand mixer for about three minutes until smooth and airy.
02 - Gently fold in the chopped shrimp, lump crab meat, half of the mozzarella cheese, all Parmesan cheese, and half of the chopped green onions or chives. Mix carefully to retain crab pieces intact for added texture.
03 - Transfer the mixture into a medium oven-safe baking dish. Smooth the surface and evenly sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the top to create a luscious cheese layer.
04 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the dish on the center rack and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is hot, bubbling, and starts to turn golden brown.
05 - Switch oven to broil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes to develop an extra golden crust. Watch closely to prevent burning.
06 - Sprinkle the remaining green onions or chives atop the hot dip. Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or sturdy chips for dipping.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Allow cream cheese to come to room temperature for smoother blending.
02 - Do not overmix after adding seafood to preserve texture.
03 - Freezing unbaked dip is possible—thaw overnight and bake before serving.
04 - Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven until warmed through and bubbly.
