Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Toast (Printer-Friendly)

Buttery garlic bread layered with melted cheese and shrimp makes a crisp, savory delight perfect any time.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Garlic Butter

01 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
02 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Sandwich

05 - 8 slices thick-cut bread (such as sourdough or Texas toast)
06 - 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
07 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
09 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
10 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

# Steps to Make This:

01 - In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until evenly mixed. Set aside.
02 - Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and reserve.
03 - Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, layer shredded mozzarella, cooked shrimp, grated Parmesan, and red pepper flakes if desired. Top with another bread slice, buttered side facing out.
04 - Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. Press gently with a spatula to aid melting.
05 - Remove sandwiches from heat and allow to rest for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing. Serve with marinara sauce or tomato soup for dipping.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use thick-cut bread to prevent sogginess. Cook on medium-low heat to achieve crispy bread and melted cheese without overcooking the shrimp.
02 - Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheat in a skillet to retain texture.
