Creamy Apple Butter Pie (Printer-Friendly)

A creamy spiced filling with apple butter inside a flaky crust. Great for cozy fall or festive occasions.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Crust

01 - 1 refrigerated 9-inch pie crust

→ Filling

02 - 1 cup apple butter
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

# Steps to Make This:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the refrigerated pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp edges as desired. Prick the bottom with a fork.
02 - Line crust with parchment paper or foil and fill with pie weights or dry beans. Bake on middle rack for 10 to 12 minutes.
03 - Remove parchment and weights, then bake crust for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until bottom is dry and lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
04 - In a large bowl, whisk together apple butter, eggs, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and all-purpose flour until smooth and fully combined.
05 - Pour filling into prepared crust and smooth the surface. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes on the middle rack, until edges are set but the center retains a slight jiggle.
06 - Remove from oven and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing to serve.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use room temperature ingredients to avoid lumps in the filling.
02 - If crust browns too quickly, cover edges with foil or a pie shield.
03 - Allow pie to fully cool and set before slicing for clean cuts.
04 - Leftovers keep refrigerated up to 5 days or frozen up to 3 months.
05 - Frozen pie crust can be parbaked by thawing for 15 minutes, pricking bottom, and baking at 375°F for 10–15 minutes.
