2-Ingredient Air Fryer Banana (Printer-Friendly)

Quick and easy banana bites with a crispy exterior, made with only two ingredients and air frying.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main

01 - 1 ripe banana (approximately 118 grams)
02 - ½ cup (63 grams) pancake mix

→ Optional Toppings

03 - ¼ cup (50 grams) granulated white sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - Powdered sugar (quantity as desired)
06 - 1 small ripe banana, mashed (about 90 grams) for glaze

# Steps to Make This:

01 - Peel the banana and mash it thoroughly in a medium bowl using a fork until smooth with no large chunks.
02 - Add the pancake mix to the mashed banana and stir until dough forms clumps.
03 - Grease your hands lightly with nonstick spray. Knead the dough carefully by hand until it just comes together, avoiding overworking.
04 - Roll the dough into approximately 1 tablespoon-sized balls (about 1 inch diameter), keeping hands greased to prevent sticking.
05 - Spray the basket of the air fryer with nonstick spray. Arrange the donut dough balls spaced about 1 inch apart to allow puffing, fitting about six at a time.
06 - Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 7 minutes until golden and puffed. Remove carefully and repeat with remaining dough.
07 - Mix ¼ cup sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Spray warm donut holes lightly with nonstick spray then roll them in the cinnamon sugar to coat evenly.
08 - Mash the small banana until smooth and stir in powdered sugar until a pourable glaze forms. Toss air-fried donut holes in the glaze and set them on parchment to set.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Donut holes are best served fresh and warm for optimal texture. Avoid glazing if storing, as it causes sogginess. Uncoated donut holes store well for up to four days at room temperature in an airtight container.
02 - If dough feels dense, adjust by increasing banana or reducing pancake mix for balance.
03 - Size variation affects air frying time; smaller balls require less time, larger balls may need more.
04 - Adding a dash of vanilla extract and a spoonful of sugar to the dough can enhance flavor.
